A springtime symposium in Tartu of the Estonian Musicological Society, the Tartu Day, was dedicated to this event. The conference, with ten presentations in Estonian, English, and German, was held on April 14th in the National Archives. Siitan\u2019s areas of research and activity in music culture are very wide, and the topics of the presentations were therefore equally comprehensive and varied. For the Res Musica yearbook, eight of the speakers turned their presentations into research papers, and these make up the main content of this issue."}
